Cloudflare Training & Enablement
Train your team to run Cloudflare with confidence
Who this is for
- In-house engineering & DevOps teams
- Marketing-ops and support teams
- Agencies managing client Cloudflare
- Teams inheriting an undocumented setup
Problems we solve
Why teams ask for Cloudflare training
Only one person understands Cloudflare
Knowledge sits with a single admin or an outside contractor. When they’re away, nobody can act.
Fear of touching the settings
The team avoids changes because a wrong toggle once broke checkout or SEO. Caution becomes paralysis.
No incident playbook
When an attack hits, the team improvises instead of following a calm, rehearsed runbook.
Inherited a setup nobody documented
A configuration exists, but no one knows why rules are there or what is safe to change.
Agency hand-back with no transfer
A project ended and the team was handed the keys with no real knowledge transfer.
Slow, ticket-driven changes
Every small Cloudflare change waits on an external party, slowing the whole business down.
Curriculum
What we cover
A practical, environment-specific curriculum — adjusted to your team’s level and your real Cloudflare configuration.
Dashboard & DNS foundations
Navigating zones, DNS, proxy status and SSL/TLS modes safely — and the settings that quietly break sites.
WAF & custom rules
Reading managed rules, writing custom rules, and the staged log → challenge → block workflow without blocking customers.
Bot management & Turnstile
Interpreting bot scores, placing Turnstile, and keeping verified search engines allowed for SEO.
Rate limiting
Designing sane thresholds for login, APIs and checkout, and avoiding false positives on real traffic.
Cache & performance
Cache rules, what must never be cached (cart/checkout), and reading performance signals.
Zero Trust / Access
Operating Cloudflare Access policies, SSO and least-privilege for your admin panels and staging.
Reading analytics & events
Using Security Events, analytics and logs to spot abuse, attacks and false positives early.
Incident runbook
A practical playbook your team can follow under pressure — Under Attack Mode, rollback and escalation.
Formats
How the training works
Mix and match the formats that suit your team.
Live workshops
Interactive sessions over video for your team, tailored to your stack and Cloudflare plan.
Hands-on labs
Guided, real changes in your account (or a safe staging zone) so the team learns by doing.
Runbooks & documentation
Written, environment-specific runbooks and checklists your team keeps and reuses.
Office hours
Scheduled follow-up sessions to answer questions as your team takes the controls.

1. Assess the team
We review your current Cloudflare setup and the team’s skill level, then tailor the curriculum to your real environment and goals.
- 2
2. Teach & do
Live workshops plus hands-on labs in your account or a safe staging zone — learning by making real, reversible changes.
- 3
3. Document
We leave environment-specific runbooks, checklists and an incident playbook your team keeps and reuses.
- 4
4. Support the handover
Office hours and follow-up so the team builds confidence, with the option of managed care as a safety net.

- A dedicated anti-fraud, chargeback or payment-risk platform.
- Hosting, database administration and origin server maintenance.
- Full incident response and forensics for large or regulated enterprises.

How this project is scoped — no hourly meter
Fixed scope, fixed timeline — priced by deliverable against an agreed Statement of Work, not by an hourly meter. Typically 2–4 weeks, delivered remotely.
What's included
- Discovery & kick-off call to confirm goals and scope
- Architecture & configuration review
- Cloudflare setup for the agreed scope: DNS, SSL/TLS, WAF baseline, caching/performance and the products in your plan
- Validation and a supervised go-live
- Handover pack: runbook, configuration documentation and a team walkthrough
- A 14-day post-go-live support window for fixes to what we configured
Not included (quoted separately)
- Non-Cloudflare work (application/backend changes, third-party security tools)
- Additional domains/zones beyond the agreed scope
- Ongoing monthly management (that is a Care plan)
